The project of Bulvest Print AD envisages the implementation of an electricity storage system with a total capacity of 250 kW, consisting of two batteries of 125 kW each, equipped with inverters. The batteries will be powered by the already built photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 715 kW, intended only for own needs and located on the roof of the company's production base. The company operates with a basic code of economic activity C18.12 – Printing of other publications and printed products. The activity is highly energy-intensive – the average monthly electricity consumption is about 300 MWh. The new battery system will allow the accumulation of green energy produced by photovoltaics, thus optimizing its internal consumption, reducing dependence on grid electricity supply and achieving lower energy costs by balancing peak capacities. Through the installation of the batteries a reduction in the overall cost of electricity by about 10-15% is expected. The project will contribute to a reduction in carbon emissions of approximately 380-410 tonnes of CO₂ per year, thanks to the more efficient use of the green energy produced and the limitation of energy from conventional sources. The project is fully compliant with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy efficiency and use of renewable energy in enterprises", encouraging enterprises in the transition to a green and low-carbon economy. The initiative represents a key step in the strategy of Bulvest Print AD for modernization and sustainable production through the integration of innovative green technologies. The installation of local energy storage facilities fully complies with and supports the achievement of the objectives of the program by reducing the carbon footprint, increasing energy efficiency and competitiveness of the company.
