The project proposal of "IMD - Commerce" Ltd. aims to increase the energy efficiency and energy independence of the enterprise by implementing photovoltaic panels in combination with inverters for its own electricity production and a local energy storage facility - a battery in combination with an inverter. By implementing the investment, the company will reduce electricity consumption from the external network, optimize energy costs and increase the sustainability of its activities against fluctuations in energy prices. "IMD - Commerce" Ltd. carries out its main activity in the "Wholesale of meat and meat products" sector (EAC 46.32), which is characterized by high and constant electricity consumption to maintain a continuous refrigeration regime. Through its own production of energy from a renewable source, the enterprise will cover a significant part of its needs with clean energy, while simultaneously reducing its carbon footprint and the risk of power outages. The installation of a local energy storage facility will allow for the accumulation and effective use of electricity produced but not consumed in real time, ensuring a stable energy balance and optimization of the load during peak hours. The project is fully consistent with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy Efficiency", contributing to increasing the share of energy from renewable sources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving the competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises. The implementation of the investment will lead to a long-term reduction in energy costs, increasing the sustainability and competitiveness of "IMD - Commerce" Ltd., as well as contributing to the national and European goals for a green and climate-neutral economy.
