First Dialysis Service Bulgaria JSC is a specialized healthcare company providing hemodialysis therapy and care for patients with chronic kidney failure. The company operates and maintains a modern medical infrastructure that includes high energy-demand equipment – dialysis machines, water treatment and sterilization systems, climate control units, as well as lighting and IT equipment essential for ensuring a safe and efficient treatment environment. In the context of rising electricity prices and the high energy dependence of medical facilities, the company plans to construct a photovoltaic installation on its building in the city of Montana. The investment will include high-efficiency solar panels, inverters, an energy storage system (batteries), and an intelligent monitoring and control system for managing electricity generation and consumption. The electricity produced will be used entirely to cover the energy needs of the dialysis center, leading to a significant reduction in energy costs, optimization of operational expenses, and increased energy independence of the facility. The implementation of the project is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy in Enterprises” and will have a long-term positive impact on the activities of First Dialysis Service Bulgaria JSC, improving the company’s environmental profile and contributing to the transition towards climate neutrality and sustainable healthcare.
