Description

Ekogrup operates a hotel industry within a tourist complex located in the village of Kranevo, Balchik Municipality. Energy expenditure constitutes a substantial share of the company’s operating costs. Consequently, achieving reductions in energy consumption directly contributes to a significant improvement in operational profitability. The energy required for heating domestic hot water for sanitary purposes represents a major component of total energy consumption, accounting for approximately 40% of overall energy costs. Therefore, the optimization of this process is of critical importance, both for improving economic efficiency and for reducing the environmental impact of operations. Ekogrup is committed to the principles of sustainable tourism, based on the implementation of energy-efficient technologies and the rational use of resources. Participation in this procedure represents a continuation of the company’s consistent policy of ensuring guest comfort while maintaining low operating costs and minimizing adverse effects on the environment. The primary objective of the proposed project is to enhance the company’s financial performance by improving energy efficiency and increasing the share of renewable energy in its overall energy mix.
The project envisages the replacement of outdated building systems with modern, energy-efficient technologies offering high potential for energy savings. The main activities are focused on optimizing energy consumption among the most energy-intensive processes—namely, the production of domestic hot water in the Dobrudja and Dobrudja-2 hotels, heating of the outdoor swimming pool, and the installation of a heat recovery (recuperative) system in the dining hall of hotel Dobrudja. The implementation of these measures will result in a reduction of energy costs, a decrease in environmental impact, and, in the long term, the ability to offer higher-quality tourist services at more competitive price
