The project proposal of BUTER Ltd. is related to the implementation of investments for the construction of a photovoltaic installation for the production of electricity from a renewable energy source for own consumption, combined with local energy storage facilities with an intermittent and irregular operating mode. The need for the project arises from the high costs of electricity, its uncertain market and prices, which hinder the recovery and growth of the enterprise and overcoming the negative consequences of the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. A significant factor justifying the need to implement the investment in RES for own consumption in combination with storage batteries is that BUTER Ltd. develops its main economic activity according to the NACE Rev. 2008 of the National Statistical Institute in a section characterized by high electricity consumption, namely 10.71 "Manufacture of bread, bakery and fresh confectionery". The project envisages the construction of a 37 kW photovoltaic power plant, combined with an energy storage system (batteries), as the investment will allow the company to produce clean energy from renewable sources, use it directly in production and store surpluses for evening and peak periods. Improving the company's energy independence, efficient use of energy and optimization of electricity costs from external suppliers will increase its competitiveness, contribute to reducing the resource intensity of production and carbon intensity. A contractor will be selected for the implementation of the activities for delivery, installation, engineering and technical services, connection and commissioning of the equipment and the system, built according to the most suitable technological solution for the company. Having its own energy source will increase the security and sustainability of BUTER Ltd., as savings will be realized throughout the chain in a high-energy production sector.
