NEDEV LTD is engaged in the distribution and trade of roofing systems, hardware, construction, home, garden and automotive products. The company has a site in the village of Krepost, Dimitrovgrad Municipality, where a rooftop photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 0.96 MWp has been built. At the moment, the applicant does not have a storage battery, which is why the electricity produced for its own needs can only be used at the time of its production, and not at night or during low sunlight. This limits the degree of self-consumption and energy independence, since excess energy during the day cannot be stored and used later. As a result, the economic efficiency of the plant and the ability of the enterprise to optimize its electricity costs are reduced. In order to overcome these challenges and increase the energy efficiency of its activities, the company is applying under procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy efficiency and use of energy from renewable sources in enterprises". The project proposal envisages the acquisition of a local storage facility - a battery with an inverter (119 kW), according to the List of eligible asset categories. The implementation of the envisaged measure is an important step towards building a sustainable and competitive business model based on efficient use of resources and reducing the carbon intensity of the activity.
