DYUSENA Ltd. is a small enterprise under the SME Act, operating in sector C – “Manufacturing”, with main economic activity under NACE code 10.82 – Manufacture of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery. The company conducts its operations in Krepost village, Dimitrovgrad Municipality, within the South-Central Region (SCR). The production process is energy-intensive, involving thermal treatment, cooling, packaging, and storage of finished products, which determines the company’s high dependence on electricity to maintain a continuous production cycle. With the aim of improving energy efficiency, reducing the carbon footprint, and achieving greater energy independence, DYUSENA Ltd. plans to implement an investment in modern, energy-efficient technologies, including: Construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV system) with a total capacity of 40 kW (solar panels with inverters) for self-consumption by the enterprise; Installation of local energy storage facilities – a 40 kW battery system with inverter, enabling accumulation of generated energy and its use during non-solar hours; Implementation of two air-cooled chillers (condenser units), each with a 30 kW capacity, designed to maintain optimal temperature conditions in production and storage areas. The implementation of the project will result in: Improved energy efficiency and reduced consumption of energy from non-renewable sources; Increased share of renewable energy used in production, ensuring sustainable and environmentally friendly operations; Significant reduction of the company’s carbon footprint and acceleration of the transition towards climate neutrality; Optimization of production costs, enhancing competitiveness and financial stability. The realization of the project will establish DYUSENA Ltd. as a company with high energy efficiency and a clear commitment to the green transformation of its production processes.
