The project proposal of DMTech Ltd. is aimed at improving energy efficiency and increasing the use of energy from renewable sources through the construction of a 50 kW photovoltaic system, combined with an inverter and battery storage units for storing electrical energy. The system will be designed to generate electricity for the company’s own consumption, with the goal of reducing energy consumption from the external grid and enhancing the company’s energy independence. The installation of the photovoltaic system for self-consumption, together with the battery energy storage facilities, will contribute to balancing the generated power output and will help to overcome one of the main disadvantages of renewable energy sources – their intermittent production. The implementation of this investment measure will support the achievement of the Energy Union’s objectives for secure, sustainable, competitive and affordable energy, as well as Bulgaria’s commitments to the transition towards a low-carbon economy. The project is expected to lead to a significant reduction in carbon emissions, an increase in the company’s competitiveness, and long-term stability of production costs.
