Description

The project of PARK AB Ltd. aims to implement measures for improving energy efficiency and promoting the use of renewable energy sources in the company’s tourist facility – Motel “Grivitsa”, located in Grivitsa village, Pleven Municipality (Park Grivitsa area). The company’s main activity is classified under NACE 55.10 “Hotels and similar accommodation.” The facility operates year-round, providing accommodation, dining, and leisure services.
Due to the continuous nature of the activity and the high electricity consumption for heating, cooling, water heating, and lighting, energy costs represent a significant share of the company’s operational expenses. The continuous increase in electricity prices has a strong impact on the profitability of the business and highlights the need for sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.
To reduce energy dependence, optimize costs, and improve environmental performance, PARK AB Ltd. plans to implement a comprehensive investment, including:
•	construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV system) for self-consumption;
•	installation of an energy storage system (battery);
•	application of roof insulation systems to reduce heat losses.
The investment will lead to lower electricity consumption from the external grid, greater energy independence, and improved energy efficiency of the facility. The expected results include reducing the carbon footprint, optimizing energy costs, increasing the share of self-generated green energy, and ensuring the sustainable development of the tourism business.
The project fully complies with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle and aligns with the objectives of the BG16RFPR001-2.004 procedure “Energy Efficiency and Use of Energy from Renewable Sources in Enterprises.” Through its implementation, PARK AB Ltd. will achieve sustainable growth, lower energy expenses, and enhanced competitiveness as an energy-efficient and environmentally responsible tourist facility.
