The project of EUROKOM 2000 Ltd. envisages the implementation of measures to improve energy efficiency within the company’s premises. The company conducts its core business under NACE Code 46.74 – Wholesale of hardware, plumbing and heating equipment and supplies. In pursuit of sustainable development and reduction of energy costs, the project proposal includes the purchase and commissioning of a local energy storage system (battery) in combination with inverters. This system will expand and enhance the efficiency of the existing photovoltaic power plant on the premises, which is used entirely for the company’s own needs. The company’s intentions align with the objectives of the current procedure, as this investment aims to install a battery storage system to ensure more efficient use of renewable energy. When the photovoltaic system is not operating due to lack of sunlight, stored energy in the batteries will be used. The implementation of these measures will lead to a significant reduction in energy consumption from non-renewable sources, improvement in energy efficiency, and increased competitiveness of the company. The expected results from the project implementation include: reduction of energy consumption and related operating costs; increased energy efficiency in core business activities; improved working environment; reduction of the company’s carbon footprint. The investment is in full compliance with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle regarding environmental protection, meets all applicable environmental standards, and contributes to achieving both national and European goals for energy efficiency and sustainable growth. By implementing this project, EUROKOM 2000 Ltd. will improve its resource efficiency, enhance the sustainability of its commercial operations, and adapt to modern requirements for a low-carbon and energy-efficient economy.
