Description

The project proposal of EVRIKA KOMERS Ltd., Gabrovo, is aimed at improving the energy efficiency and sustainability of its production processes through the implementation of local energy storage facilities with a total capacity of 150 kWh and an inverter, which will be installed and integrated into the company’s existing photovoltaic power plant. The main activity of the company is the manufacture of other types of furniture (NACE code 31.09), including the production of upholstered furniture, sofas, couches, and furniture for bedrooms and living rooms. The production process is energy-intensive and requires a continuous and stable electricity supply.

The implementation of this investment will ensure more efficient management and utilization of the renewable electricity generated for the company’s own needs by reducing losses caused by discrepancies between real-time production and consumption. The installation of an energy storage system will allow the accumulation of surplus electricity produced during daylight hours and its use during periods of higher load or limited generation. This will lead to a better energy balance, reduced dependence on electricity from external sources, and optimization of energy costs.

The project fully complies with the objectives of the procedure, which focus on increasing energy efficiency and expanding the share of renewable energy sources in enterprises’ energy mix. The investment contributes to the transition towards climate neutrality, reduces the carbon footprint of production, and enhances the competitiveness of EVRIKA KOMERS Ltd. through sustainable and efficient use of resources.
