"Bau Center" Ltd. is a small enterprise based in the town of Batanovci, Pernik municipality. The main products produced by the company are self-leveling mortars, putties, decorative and waterproofing coatings, adhesives, and restoration products under the brand "BOND 2001". The main problem of the enterprise is the low energy efficiency of production and infrastructure (building stock, service units), leading to high energy costs and low productivity. The main goal of this project proposal is to increase energy efficiency through implementing a set of measures to reduce costs and improve staff efficiency. Planned measures include: Improving the condition of the building stock by applying mineral wool insulation on ceilings facing the outside air with a total area of 120 sq.m - to reduce heat losses and ensure an appropriate microclimate for the staff. Improving climate control for the administrative part and laboratory: Installing an air-to-air heat pump (18 kW, class A+++) to provide adequate heating and cooling of the premises. Providing hot water for domestic use by installing 14 sq.m solar collectors for hygiene needs of employees (the production is characterized by high dustiness). Replacing old conventional compressor equipment with a new reciprocating compressor with a power of 32 kW, inverter control, dryer, and receiver (1000 L) for energy-efficient compressed air production. Improving lighting in production areas, administration, and laboratory by replacing existing worn-out lighting fixtures with new LED floodlights (200 W) and LED panels (80 W), reducing lighting costs by over 50% while improving efficiency and safety of the work process. The project will be implemented within 12 months in the town of Batanovci.
