“Viktor Mebel” Ltd. operates in the field of interior design and furniture manufacturing. The production process is organized in the company’s own furniture workshop, consisting of three interconnected buildings – one two-story and two single-story, arranged in a U-shape. Next to them, the company also owns another building used as a storage facility. This project proposal is related to the implementation of construction and installation works for roof thermal insulation on three of the company’s buildings – the two single-story production facilities and the warehouse. The project aims to reduce heat losses and energy consumption for heating and cooling, thereby supporting the company’s transition towards climate neutrality by lowering its carbon footprint. The roofs of the single-story production buildings and the warehouse currently lack thermal insulation systems, and therefore do not comply with Regulation No. 7/2004 on the energy efficiency of buildings. The energy costs for heating and cooling these premises are estimated to be more than three times higher compared to similar buildings where energy efficiency measures have been implemented. The project includes the following activities: 1. Implementation of construction works to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings – installation of 250 sq.m. of mineral wool insulation on the ceiling slab of one building, and 570 sq.m. of roof sandwich panels on the other two buildings. As a result of the planned activities, the following outcomes will be achieved: 1. Improved indoor microclimate and reduced energy consumption for heating and cooling. 2. Increased competitiveness of the company due to lower electricity costs for heating and air conditioning. Target groups: 1. The enterprise as a business entity that increases its resource efficiency and reduces its energy intensity. 2. Employees of the company who will benefit from an improved working environment and indoor comfort.
