Description

The project proposal aims to increase the energy efficiency and decarbonization of the Boriki Hotel in Pamporovo resort (village of Stoykite), whose owner and beneficiary is PRESTIGE 2000 OOD. The heating, ventilation and cooling systems are planned to be modernized by implementing nine air-to-water heat pumps, each with a nominal power of 16 kW (total 144 kW), and two central recuperative HVAC units with a nominal flow rate of 2000 m³/h. The solution provides year-round comfort with lower specific energy consumption and reduced costs, taking into account the climatic features of a high-mountain resort. The heat pump system operates in reversible mode (heating/cooling), is controlled by a climate curve with an external sensor and includes a buffer tank, high-efficiency circulation pumps (EC), priority for DHW and a bivalent scheme with electrical backup. A refrigerant with a lower GWP is used (e.g. R32). Expected SCOP ≥ 3.2–3.8 (relative to mode and emitters). The heat exchangers have a thermal efficiency of ≥80%, EC fans, G4/F7 filtration, antifreeze protection and bypass for “free cooling”, with CO₂ control and time schedules. The scope includes delivery, installation and connection of the equipment, commissioning tests, commissioning, adjustment and integration into a building management system (BMS) for remote monitoring and reporting, staff training. Panels with selective protection and SPD, hydraulic balance, noise insulation and acoustic measures are provided, tailored to the resort environment. All assets are new and unused, with warranties according to manufacturers' specifications. The investment meets the requirements for safety and energy labeling (ErP), DNSH and applicable standards (EN 14511/14825; EN 16798). Expected effect: ≥30% reduction in final energy supplied for HVAC, reduction of CO₂ emissions, improved indoor climate and cost predictability through smart management and reduced peak loads. Implementation period – up to 12 months.
