The project of KRYPTON ELECTRONIC Ltd. aims to construct a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) for own consumption with an inverter capacity of 60 kW and an energy storage system of 100 kWh. The company specializes in the development and production of LED lighting fixtures with high energy efficiency, incorporating advanced technologies and components from leading global manufacturers. The production process is electricity-intensive, with a total installed power exceeding 60 kW, including electrolyzers, an argon welding system, a DPF filter recycling unit, metal-cutting machines, and laboratory equipment. Currently, the enterprise relies entirely on electricity supplied from the public grid, resulting in high operating costs and vulnerability to energy price fluctuations. By implementing the 60 kW PVPP, the company will secure its own renewable source of clean electricity, covering a significant share of its current consumption. The 100 kWh battery storage system will enable accumulation and utilization of the generated energy during peak load periods, reducing dependence on the electricity distribution network. The expected effects include: - Reduction of annual electricity consumption from external sources by over 60%; - Significant decrease in production costs and improvement of the company’s energy independence; - Reduction of CO₂ emissions; - Improved sustainability and competitiveness of the enterprise through energy optimization. The project will have a direct positive impact on the resource efficiency, environmental footprint, and energy security of KRYPTON ELECTRONIC Ltd. and is fully aligned with the priorities of the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” 2021–2027, promoting energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in industrial enterprises.
