Planning region: All

Description

The project proposal aims to promote the use of renewable energy by “MAG” Ltd., through the construction of a Photovoltaic Power Plant (PVPP) with a capacity of 73 kW. The electricity generated by the PVPP under the project will be used exclusively for the company’s own consumption in its main economic activity – C 25.99 “Manufacture of other fabricated metal products n.e.c.”

In the context of rising electricity prices and instability in energy markets, reducing energy costs has become a key factor for the long-term sustainability of any manufacturing enterprise. By constructing the proposed PVPP, “MAG” Ltd. will enhance its competitiveness in several areas:

Significant reduction of current operating costs, by replacing purchased electricity with renewable energy produced on-site;

Increased energy autonomy and reduced dependence on external suppliers;

Continuity of power supply, including during grid failures, through the use of smart inverters and battery storage systems.

The target group of the project is “MAG” Ltd., a small enterprise based in the town of Bobov Dol, aiming to improve its energy efficiency and increase the share of renewable energy used for its own operational needs.

The project activities, focused on improving energy efficiency and promoting the use of renewable energy within enterprises, will be implemented in Bobov Dol, 1 Dimitar Blagoev Street, and will comply with the horizontal principles under Article 9 of Regulation (EU) No. 2021/1060, including the principle of “Do No Significant Harm.”

As a result of the project implementation, “MAG” Ltd. will improve its energy efficiency and increase the share of renewable energy used for its own needs in the company’s production activities.
