The project of METALAGRO AD provides for the construction and commissioning of a rooftop photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) for own consumption at the production base in Dobrich. The scope covers design, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of a system with 74 kW output (nominal) active inverter power (AC) and battery storage, together with all required support structures, electrical equipment, protective and measuring components, as well as staff training. The installation will be placed on existing roofs on company-owned property, without changing building purpose; appropriate structural solutions and lightning protection are included. The technical configuration is tailored to the energy-intensive load profile of the main production areas and shift operations (e.g., lasers, compressors, welding, coating/painting, assembly). The battery enables load shifting of daytime generation to afternoon/evening operations, peak smoothing, and short-term operational resilience during grid disturbances - critical for uninterrupted processes. An energy-monitoring system with optimized charge/discharge modes will align operation with the production schedule and seasonality, targeting high self-consumption and sustained productivity (Performance Ratio). Implementation will deliver significant reductions in grid purchases during active hours, stabilize the cost base, and improve cash-flow predictability, while also cutting emissions and strengthening the company’s ESG profile- increasingly important to corporate customers and partners. The project is fully aligned with procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 and PKIP 2021- 2027: increasing the share of RES for own consumption, reducing energy intensity, and improving environmental performance in a growing production environment. Grant support enables simultaneous, optimally scaled deployment of the integrated RES solution without compromising operational stability.
