Programme: Programme "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027

Planning region: All

Description

The project envisages the construction of a 60kW photovoltaic power plant for own consumption with an electrical energy storage system. The plant will supply energy to a modern infrastructure in which the company carries out its main economic activity, located in the city of Vratca. The produced, unconsumed energy will be stored in special battery modules. The produced electrical energy will be used only for own consumption and will not be fed into the grid.
The aim of the project is to reduce current electricity costs and dependence on fluctuations in the prices of energy resources, as well as to improve the energy efficiency of economic processes. The implementation of the measure will allow the company to use clean energy from renewable sources, reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to the implementation of the objectives of the European Green Deal and the Integrated National Plan for Energy and Climate.
The implementation of the investment will increase the competitiveness of the company. Financial resources will be freed up for investments in innovation, modernization and expansion of activities. The investment will contribute to job stability and potentially to the creation of new ones, by increasing the company's market position. The investment is fully in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal, the Ready for 55 package and the Integrated Energy and Climate Plan of Bulgaria.
Expected result of the project implementation:
Reduction of the energy intensity of the enterprise, sustainable management of energy resources and greater security of business processes, combined with a contribution to the overall national energy savings target for the period 2021–2030.
The project will be implemented in compliance with the principle of "doing no significant harm" and with the principles of equality between women and men and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
