The activity is associated with significant energy costs, which makes the company heavily dependent on external electricity suppliers and faces challenges arising from the dynamic and rising prices on the energy market.
As part of the project, Terastone Ltd. plans to build a new photovoltaic system with a maximum inverters output (AC power) of 80 kW for its own consumption, which will be installed on the roof of the production building at the company's base. The photovoltaic installation will be connected to the internal power distribution network and will cover part of the company's electricity consumption. At the same time, an electricity storage system (batteries) with a capacity of 114 kWh will be built, which will allow for effective management and balancing of the energy produced from RES. The battery system will store surplus energy during hours of active generation and feed it back into the internal network during periods of increased consumption or lack of sunshine.
The construction of its own photovoltaic system in combination with a local storage facility will enable Terastone Ltd. to meet part of its energy needs through a renewable source and increase the reliability of its energy system, which supports the company's main economic activity.
