KOVACHEV PRESS Ltd. is a company with a production base in the village of Aidemir, Silistra municipality. The main economic activity of the company is according to NACE-2008: 1812 – Printing of other publications and printed products. The company specializes in full-color offset printing of magazines, books, catalogs, and advertising materials, providing a complete production cycle – from pre-press preparation to final processing and finishing operations. The production processes require continuous operation of high-energy-consuming electrical equipment, including printing machines, lighting fixtures, compressor systems, and air conditioning of the premises. This leads to significant electricity costs, which have a material impact on the cost of production and the competitiveness of the company. In order to reduce energy costs, increase energy independence, and optimize the production process, a project is planned that includes the following measures: •Construction of a 15 kW photovoltaic power plant to cover the company's own consumption. The system will provide part of the necessary electricity by using a renewable energy source, thereby reducing electricity costs and carbon dioxide emissions. •Installation of a local energy storage battery with a capacity of 76.8 kWh, which will allow the accumulation of electricity produced but not used by the PV plant and its use during periods of lower solar radiation. This will ensure more efficient energy balance management and greater independence for the enterprise. •Purchase of a conventional compressor with a dryer and receiver, with increased energy efficiency, which will replace existing equipment with higher energy consumption and lower efficiency. The new compressor system will improve the stability of the air supply, reduce energy losses, and ensure more reliable operation of the printing equipment.
