UNEL INVEST is a company with main activity under KID56.10-Restaurant and quick service activities.The company manages a restaurant that offers a variety of cuisine and is open all year round.The activity is carried out in its own building,equipped with professional food preparation equipment, refrigeration systems, ventilation,heating and air conditioning, which leads to significant electricity costs. The main need for the implementation of the project stems from the high energy consumption and increasing electricity costs, which directly affect the profitability and competitiveness of the enterprise. In order to reduce dependence on external suppliers and fluctuations in electricity prices, the company plans to build a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 60kW - entirely for its own consumption. The system will be equipped with batteries that will ensure more efficient use of electricity and optimization of consumption during hours without sunlight. The main objective of the project is to increase energy efficiency and the use of energy from renewable sources, through the implementation of a modern photovoltaic power plant, which will provide a stable, environmentally friendly and sustainable power supply to the restaurant. The main activities include: construction and commissioning of photovoltaic panels, inverter, batteries and other necessary components for its operation. The expected results are: -production of clean energy from a renewable source to cover its own needs; -reduction of electricity costs by over 60%; -limitation of carbon emissions and contribution to sustainable development; -improvement of the financial sustainability and competitiveness of the enterprise. The project is fully consistent with the priorities of the European Green Deal and national policies for achieving climate neutrality, contributing to the implementation of the strategic goals of the EU and Bulgaria for sustainable energy development and a low-carbon economy.
