Description

The company "SCRAP METALS S.M." OOD carries out its main activity in the field of purchasing and recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste, waste tires and waste from end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment. The company has a specialized permit for this activity, issued in accordance with the requirements of the Waste Management Act (WMA). The production process is carried out at a site in the town of Beloslav and includes cold mechanical processing of waste materials, such as cables, tires and similar materials. This process is energy-intensive and leads to significant electricity consumption, with an average annual value of 87,375 kWh.
The project proposal provides for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) in order to reduce electricity costs in the enterprise. The PVPP will have a maximum (peak) power of 144 kWp and an estimated annual yield of 172,085 kWh. This will ensure an increase in the share of own energy consumption to 43.6%. The installation will be mounted on the roof structure of the existing building.
Energy storage system: It will be located in a new, lightweight and air-conditioned room at ground level, positioned on the north side of the building and will have a capacity of 120.5 kWh.
The PV plant will consist of two independent photovoltaic generators:
First generator: Consists of 120 photovoltaic panels and powers the grid inverter INV1.
Second generator: Consists of 120 photovoltaic panels and directly powers the energy storage system.
The company has complete investment project documentation related to the project proposal. The construction is classified in category VI according to Art. 137, item 6 and Art. 147, para. 1, item 14 of the Spatial Planning Act (SPA), as well as in connection with Art. 25a of the Renewable Energy Act (ZEVI).
