Description

The project proposal of KRES-BALKANSKI Ltd. is aimed at improving the energy efficiency and sustainable management of energy resources within the enterprise by introducing innovative solutions for the use of renewable energy sources. The company operates in sector I – Accommodation and Food Service Activities, with main economic activities under NACE codes 55.10 “Hotels and similar accommodation” and 56.11 “Restaurants and mobile food service activities.” As the owner and operator of the Fantasia Hotel Complex in Haskovo, the enterprise is highly dependent on electricity and hot water costs necessary to maintain comfort and high-quality services for its guests.
Within the framework of the project, KRES-BALKANSKI Ltd. plans to build a 50 kW photovoltaic power plant (PV) combined with a 50 kWh energy storage system (battery), ensuring energy autonomy and optimization of energy flows. In addition, solar thermal systems for domestic hot water (DHW) with a collector field of 10 m² will be installed to meet the hot water needs of the hotel complex.
The implementation of the project will lead to:
A significant reduction in electricity and heating costs;
Improved energy efficiency and increased share of renewable energy in the total energy consumption of the complex;
Reduction of the carbon footprint and improvement of the environmental performance of the enterprise;
Enhanced competitiveness of KRES-BALKANSKI Ltd. through the provision of sustainable and energy-efficient tourism services.
The realization of this investment will position Fantasia Hotel as an example of a green and energy-independent tourist facility in the South Central Region, fully aligned with the principles of sustainable tourism and the objectives of the European Green Deal.
