Technoles Commerce Ltd. is a Bulgarian manufacturing company with main activity under code C16.24 – Production of wooden packaging. The company produces Euro pallets and other packaging solutions for various industries – food, logistics, transport and construction. In an effort to improve energy efficiency and reduce dependence on external energy sources, the company plans to build photovoltaic panels with inverters with a total AC power of 190 kW, for its own consumption, on the roof of the production hall. The system will be connected to the company’s internal electrical network and is sized to cover the need for electricity in the production processes, and will produce electricity directly for its own consumption. All machines have a high installed capacity and operate at full load, which makes the activity energy-intensive. The photovoltaic system is designed to cover this need, providing the company with energy independence, security and lower operating costs. The expected annual production of the system is about 220 MWh of green energy, which will allow a significant reduction in grid consumption and will ensure stable power supply to the equipment during the daylight hours when production is taking place. The implementation of the project will lead to: - reduction of electricity costs by 75-80%; - increase in energy independence and stability of the production process; - reduction of carbon emissions by about 90–100 t CO₂ per year; - improvement of the competitiveness of the enterprise through the implementation of modern energy infrastructure. The project is fully consistent with the objectives of Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy efficiency and use of energy from renewable sources", and will contribute to reducing energy intensity, sustainable production and ecological transformation of the industry.
