The project of "ZHORELA" OOD envisages the implementation of targeted measures to improve energy efficiency and promote the use of renewable energy in an existing building, in which the additional economic activity under KID 55.10 - "Hotels and similar accommodation facilities" is carried out. As a small enterprise operating in the field of tourism, the company aims to increase the sustainability and resource efficiency of its operating base by reducing energy costs and switching to a cleaner and independent energy system. The project envisages the repair of the roof structure of the building and the installation of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) in combination with an energy storage system (battery). The measures are fully consistent with the permissible activities under the procedure and will provide a significant contribution to reducing electricity consumption from the grid, limiting energy costs and increasing the independence of the site from fluctuations in electricity prices. The investment is fully compliant with the principle of "doing no significant harm" (DNSH) on the environment and will help achieve climate sustainability of the activity. The envisaged technologies are compatible with modern environmental standards and will help reduce carbon emissions emitted during the operation of the building. The expected results of the project implementation include improving the energy performance of the building, increasing the share of energy used from renewable sources, optimizing operating costs, increasing the competitiveness and sustainable development of the enterprise. In addition, the project will contribute to achieving national and European goals in the field of decarbonization and green transition. The proposal is fully compliant with the horizontal principles pursuant to Art. 9 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060, as well as with the DNSH principle.
