The Project Proposal envisages the implementation of a complex set of measures to improve energy efficiency and encourage the use of energy from renewable sources (RES) at "AGROFERM" EOOD. This will be achieved through the construction of RES facilities for own consumption combined with local energy storage equipment and the supply and installation of an air-to-water heat pump, serving as a long-term and energy-efficient solution to heating and cooling issues in the restaurant sector. The project's goal is to reduce current electricity costs and decrease dependency on fluctuations in energy resource prices, as well as to improve the energy efficiency of the operational process. The implementation of this measure will enable the company to use clean energy from renewable sources, reduce its carbon footprint, and contribute to achieving the goals of the European Green Deal and the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan. The expected results from the project implementation are: 1. Achieving tangible improvement in the energy efficiency of the company's operational buildings; 2. Reduced energy costs, which will enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of "AGROFERM" EOOD; 3. Freeing up financial resources for investments in core business activities and improving the quality of service; 4. Contributing to the achievement of the procedure's indicators—the number of supported enterprises and the value of private investments complementing public support. The project is in full compliance with the objectives of Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 "Energy Efficiency and Use of Energy from Renewable Sources in Enterprises" and will contribute to the fulfillment of the Republic of Bulgaria's commitments to sustainable economic development and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
