Description

“FURNIR-PLAST” Ltd., based in Simitli, Blagoevgrad region, operates under NACE code 16.21 “Manufacture of veneer sheets and wood-based panels”. The company’s main activity is the production of veneer, plywood, laminated and sawn components for the furniture industry.

Within the framework of the present project proposal under procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources in enterprises”, the company plans to implement investments in the modernization of its production base through the introduction of modern energy-efficient solutions. The planned activities include:

- Installation of a 500 kW biomass boiler
- Supply and installation of an inverter-controlled compressed air compressor
- Supply of an air receiver with a capacity of 2000 m³
- Supply of an air dryer with a main motor power of 22 kW

Through the implementation of the project, “FURNIR-PLAST” Ltd. will achieve:

significant reduction of energy consumption and operating costs;
improved efficiency of production processes;
better utilization of its own resources (biomass from production residues);
reduction of the carbon footprint and contribution to sustainable development and the goals of the circular economy.

The project is fully in line with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle and contributes to the achievement of national and European priorities in the fields of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources.
