The project of “Agro Group 79” Ltd aims to improve energy efficiency and increase the use of renewable energy sources in the company’s production facility. The investment will contribute to reducing energy consumption, operational costs, and greenhouse gas emissions, in full alignment with the objectives of the procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Enterprises.” The company operates under NACE code 25.99 – Manufacture of other fabricated metal products n.e.c. and performs mechanical processing and assembly of metal components and structures. The production activity is energy-intensive and requires continuous electricity supply, which results in significant energy costs and a high carbon footprint. The proposed investment includes two key energy measures: Construction of a photovoltaic power plant with battery storage, which will generate renewable electricity for self-consumption in the production process, reducing dependence on the external power grid and optimizing energy costs; Thermal insulation of the external walls of the production hall, aimed at reducing heat losses, improving indoor working conditions, and increasing the overall energy performance of the building. Through the implementation of these measures, the company will achieve: A significant reduction in total energy consumption and energy expenses; Improved energy efficiency of the production building; Lower carbon footprint and contribution to climate neutrality goals; Enhanced competitiveness and sustainability of the enterprise through the use of green technologies. The project fully complies with the principles of sustainable development and “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) to the environment. Its implementation will support the green transition of the manufacturing sector and establish “Agro Group 79” Ltd as an energy-efficient and environmentally responsible company.
