Corte Diletto Ltd. is a company specialized in the production of confectionery products, operating on the Bulgarian market. As part of the food industry, the enterprise is characterized by high energy consumption, stemming from the operation of various production lines, refrigeration systems, the maintenance of constant temperature, and other processes that require significant amounts of electricity. This makes energy costs one of the main components in the cost of production and a factor that directly affects the company’s competitiveness. In recent years, electricity prices on the Bulgarian free market have been highly dynamic and unpredictable. This creates considerable uncertainty for enterprises such as Corte Diletto, which operate in energy-intensive sectors. The stability and sustainability of the business largely depend on its ability to control energy costs and to reduce vulnerability to external market fluctuations. Within the framework of the current project, the company plans to install a photovoltaic system (PV) for self-consumption, which will enable it to produce and use clean energy from renewable sources. This investment will contribute to a significant reduction in operating costs, increase the share of renewable energy in the company’s energy balance, and ensure greater energy independence. Beyond the direct economic benefits, the implementation of a PV system will also have a strong environmental impact – reducing carbon emissions and limiting the ecological footprint of the production activity. The project fully complies with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle and with the requirements of European sustainability regulations. Through this investment, the enterprise will position itself as a responsible producer, combining traditions in confectionery production with modern and environmentally friendly solutions.
