The project of CHEH Ltd., entitled “Construction of a Photovoltaic Power Plant with Battery Storage for the Own Needs of the Enterprise Aimed at Improving Energy Efficiency”, is aimed at increasing the company’s energy independence and operational sustainability. The main activity of the company is wholesale trade of meat and meat products (NACE 46.32), which is highly dependent on a reliable and continuous electricity supply necessary for cold storage and distribution of the products. Any interruptions in the electricity supply or fluctuations in energy prices have a direct impact on the company’s operating costs and competitiveness. In order to reduce energy costs, limit dependence on external electricity suppliers, and ensure the reliability of power supply, the project foresees the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with a total inverter output (nominal active power) of 50 kW. The system will consist of solar panels, hybrid inverters, and battery storage units, and the electricity produced will be used entirely for the company’s own consumption. The installation will be mounted on the roof of an existing building, and the generated electricity will be used to maintain the required temperature regimes and ensure uninterrupted operation of the refrigeration systems. The implementation of the project will result in a significant reduction of electricity costs, enhanced energy independence, and improved overall energy efficiency of the enterprise. In addition to the economic benefits, the project will also generate positive environmental impacts, contributing to the reduction of the company’s carbon footprint and promoting the use of renewable energy sources in the business operations of CHEH Ltd.
