The project envisages the construction of a 60 kW photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption, equipped with an energy storage system. The power plant will supply energy to modern infrastructure where the company conducts its core economic activities, located in the village of Krepost, Dimitrovgrad Municipality. Any excess electricity generated that is not consumed will be stored in dedicated battery modules. The electricity produced will be used exclusively for self-consumption and will not be fed into the grid. The aim of the project is to reduce current electricity costs and dependence on fluctuations in energy resource prices, as well as to improve the energy efficiency of economic processes. The implementation of this measure will enable the company to use clean energy from renewable sources, reduce its carbon footprint, and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the European Green Deal and the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan. By carrying out this investment, the competitiveness of the company will be strengthened. Financial resources will be freed up for investments in innovation, modernization, and business expansion. The investment will also contribute to job stability and potentially to the creation of new jobs by strengthening the company’s market position. The investment is fully in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal, the “Fit for 55” package, and Bulgaria’s Integrated Energy and Climate Plan. Expected result of the project implementation: Reduction of the enterprise’s energy intensity, sustainable management of energy resources, and increased security of business processes, combined with a contribution to the overall national energy savings target for the period 2021–2030. The project will be implemented in compliance with the “Do No Significant Harm” principle, as well as the principles of gender equality and equal opportunities for all.
