The project of PIKANT Ltd. aims to increase energy efficiency, reduce energy costs, and promote the use of renewable energy sources within the enterprise. The company operates in the field of restaurant and beverage services, with the NACE code 56.30 – Beverage serving activities. The average annual electricity consumption of the restaurant amounts to approximately 55,000 BGN, representing a significant share of its operating costs. To reduce this energy expenditure and achieve greater independence from external electricity suppliers, the project foresees the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV system) with a nominal active inverter output of 30 kW. The system will include solar panels, inverters, and battery storage, and the electricity produced will be used entirely for the company’s own consumption. The battery storage system will enable the optimal use of the generated electricity during peak tariff hours, resulting in significant cost savings and reducing dependency on the public electricity grid. From an environmental perspective, the project will contribute to reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment, while supporting the sustainable development of the company. In addition, the enterprise already operates two electric vehicles, which can be charged using the green energy produced by the PV system. The implementation of the project will lead to optimization of energy processes, substantial reduction of electricity costs, increased competitiveness, and long-term energy independence of the enterprise. The project will be implemented in Veliko Tarnovo, which is classified as a “less developed region” according to the Guidelines for Applicants under procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004.
