The project of “Trakijski Hlyab” bakery aims to increase the energy efficiency and sustainability of the production line through the implementation of modern compressed air technologies – compressors, receivers, and dryers. The main objective is to reduce electricity costs, optimize production processes, and improve product quality, while simultaneously minimizing the negative environmental impact. The main activities include the purchase and installation of energy-efficient screw compressors with high efficiency, installation of receivers to stabilize air pressure, and implementation of dryers to remove moisture from the compressed air. Additionally, the project includes staff training for proper operation of the new systems and integration of the equipment into the existing production line. The implementation of these activities is expected to reduce electricity consumption by approximately 25–30% annually, increase the efficiency of pneumatic machines, and extend the operational life of the equipment. The project’s target groups are the bakery staff who will operate the new equipment, as well as the end consumers who will benefit from higher quality bread and baked goods. An additional effect is the enhancement of the company’s market competitiveness through sustainable and energy-efficient production. The project complies with national and European standards for energy efficiency and sustainable development and represents a strategic investment in production modernization, cost reduction, and environmental protection.
