The project proposal of 'METBOL 2000' Ltd. foresees the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) with an installed capacity of 56 kW and an energy storage system with a capacity of 56 kWh, intended to meet the company's own electricity needs. The installation will be located at the company's base, situated in Montana, 43 Diana Street. The company’s main activities include the purchase and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, vehicle dismantling, and transport and auxiliary services, all of which require a continuous and significant amount of electricity. The implementation of the PV plant and battery system will enable substantial reduction of electricity costs, increase of energy independence, and reduction of carbon emissions. The photovoltaic system is expected to generate approximately 70,000 kWh of electricity per year, covering about 70–75% of the site’s total consumption. This will lead to annual cost savings and a reduction of CO₂ emissions by around 50 tons per year. The project aims to improve the company’s energy efficiency and competitiveness through the use of renewable energy sources, creating a more sustainable and environmentally responsible operational base.
