The project of Kazanlak Bread Ltd. aims to improve energy efficiency in the production areas by purchasing, installing and commissioning one high-efficiency Air Handling Unit (AHU) with heat/cold/moisture regeneration/recuperation (nominal airflow 9,000 m³/h). The system will provide centralized air treatment with energy recovery from exhaust to supply air and automated control of temperature, humidity and airflow. The investment falls under Group 7 “High-efficiency air-handling units with heat/cold/moisture regeneration/recuperation” in the list of eligible assets and is strictly targeted at reducing HVAC. Expected results: sustained energy savings in ventilation and air-conditioning; lower operating costs and reduced GHG emissions; improved indoor climate, working conditions and hygiene parameters in line with food-production requirements. Activities include engineering (as needed), delivery, installation, connection, set-up, staff training and commissioning. The project complies with the Do No Significant Harm principle and contributes to the objectives of the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Programme 2021–2027 for enhancing energy efficiency in SMEs.
