VIVIN INVEST EOOD carries out its main economic activity under NACE 46.31 – Wholesale of fruits and vegetables. The company has a warehouse and logistics base in the town of Petrich, intended for storage, packaging and distribution of fruits and vegetables, as well as for servicing trade partners operating in the same sector. Part of the warehouse premises are leased with long-term contracts (10 years), which guarantees sustainability and economic activity of the site. Identified problems and needs: The activity of storing and trading fresh fruits and vegetables is highly energy-intensive, due to the need for a constant microclimate – cooling, ventilation, lighting and humidity control. The warehouses operate year-round, with the cooling systems operating intensively during the summer months, which leads to high energy consumption. The existing facade and roof panels are depreciated and do not meet modern energy efficiency requirements. Investment Need: To improve energy efficiency and reduce energy losses, VIVIN INVEST EOOD plans to repair and renovate warehouses with an area of 660 sq.m., including replacing facade and roof panels with new energy-efficient sandwich panels with a total area of 1,000 sq.m. The measure will provide better thermal insulation and an optimal microclimate, which is critical for preserving the freshness and quality of the produce. The project fully meets the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004–improving energy efficiency, reducing energy intensity and increasing the competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises.
