“HEMUSTURIST" JSC operates Hotel “Balkan”–Gabrovo through a lease agreement, whereby all revenues and expenses, including those for electricity, are borne by the applicant under the current project. The hotel is located in the city center and has a long- history as an emblematic site for the city and the region. The applicant has not yet built any RES for its own consumption at the operated site, and sources electricity entirely from the grid. With the present project, the applicant intends to build a photovoltaic system for self-consumption, which will ensure: - a relatively high level of energy independence through its own source for the generation and storage of clean energy - a significant reduction in electricity costs - the ability to balance electricity consumption between the in-house RES installation and the grid, depending on its current market price Within the framework of the project, “HEMUSTURIST" JSC declares expenses in the form of unit costs for the acquisition of assets from Group 14 and 15 in accordance with the Appendix 4.1: - photovoltaic panels in combination with inverters with an output (nominal) active power of 70 kW (the output AC characteristics of all inverters) - local energy storage facilities (batteries) in combination with inverters with a capacity of 100 kW The applicant declares support for its primary economic activity for 2024, which will benefit the most from the project results, therefore the project code is NACE code 55.10 "Hotels and similar accommodation facilities". The assets requested under the project will also be used in connection with the applicant's secondary activity with code 56.10, by supplying electricity to the hotel restaurant as well. The photovoltaic panels and batteries built under the project will cover a significant part of the applicant's electricity needs, and the savings will directly affect the cost price of the provided tourist services and the company’s competitiveness.
