Description

Improving the Energy Efficiency of the Production, Storage, and R&D Activities of VEKATECH Ltd. through the Installation of an Autonomous 60 kW Solar System under Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy Efficiency and Use of Energy from Renewable Sources in Enterprises” – for VEKATECH Ltd.

The project envisages the installation of an autonomous photovoltaic system with a nominal capacity of 60 kW at the site of VEKATECH Ltd., a company engaged in the manufacturing of automotive and industrial electronic devices and products. The system is intended for self-consumption and will not be integrated with the existing electrical infrastructure or transformer station. The implementation of the project will support covering the daily production loads, reduce electricity costs, ensure uninterrupted autonomous power supply in the event of planned or emergency outages, and improve the environmental profile of the company.

The project aims to:

Reduce annual primary energy consumption by 107,000 kWh/year and greenhouse gas emissions by 27.4 tons of CO₂/year;

Overall improvement of the working environment through:

Eliminating power outages during the working day of inertial energy-consuming tunnel soldering machines, which will have a direct impact on product quality;

Actively controlling humidity and temperature in the production areas as well as in the administrative staff premises;

Enabling the future addition of new energy-intensive processes, such as vacuum-thermal drying of materials.
