Planning region: All

Description

The project proposal of PAPIR BG Ltd. is aimed at enhancing the company’s energy efficiency and operational sustainability through the implementation of a photovoltaic system for electricity generation with an installed capacity of 60 kWp and an energy storage system with a capacity of 107 kWh. The investment will be carried out within the company’s logistics and operational base in Plovdiv, where activities related to the collection, sorting, and processing of non-hazardous waste are performed.

The main objective of the project is to reduce the company’s dependence on external energy sources by ensuring a self-sufficient, sustainable, and environmentally responsible source of electricity for its operational and administrative needs. By introducing the RES system, the company will optimize its energy costs, improve the predictability of its operations, and contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions.

The project is fully aligned with the objectives of Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Support for the Implementation of Renewable Energy Sources for Self-Consumption in Enterprises” and the Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” 2021–2027, which support the transition towards a circular and low-carbon economy. The implementation of the project will enable PAPIR BG Ltd. to achieve greater energy independence, environmental sustainability, and economic efficiency, while at the same time strengthening its contribution to environmental protection and the goals of the European Green Deal.
