The overall goal of this project is to improve energy efficiency at the DIDIS OOD base in the city of Shumen and increase the use of energy from renewable sources in the company by implementing an energy storage system. The specific goals address individual parameters through which the prerequisites for the implementation of the main goal will be created: supplementing the company's photovoltaic plants with the installation of an energy storage system (batteries) with a capacity of 125 kW; optimizing electricity consumption through better management of its own production and reducing consumption from the electricity distribution network; improving energy security and continuity of the company's activities; achieving energy cost savings; reducing carbon emissions by increasing the share of energy used from renewable sources in the company's overall energy balance; increasing sustainability in the management of the company. The implementation of the project is aimed at satisfying our main need to improve the efficiency of the existing photovoltaic plants in the enterprise, so as to increase the share of usable energy from renewable sources in the energy balance of DIDIS OOD. The project includes one main activity related to the purchase of a 125 kW electric energy storage system. The solar energy storage system will allow the accumulation of excess energy and its use during peak hours or during power outages. This will increase our independence from the electricity distribution network, will lead to continuity and optimization of the company's activities. The operating costs of the enterprise will be reduced through lower electricity bills, which will also be reflected in the optimization of the cost price. The batteries will allow the utilization of energy from solar panels without emitting carbon and other emissions, which will contribute to a higher environmental value.
