The project of “Bultek Engineering” Ltd. envisages the implementation of energy efficiency measures through the construction of an in-house system for the production and storage of electricity from renewable sources. The company was established in 2010 and is the exclusive representative in Bulgaria of KABAN MACHINE – a global leader in the manufacturing of machines for PVC and aluminum window and door processing. In its ambition to offer comprehensive solutions for window and door manufacturers, the company has expanded its portfolio with glass and insulating glass processing machines, German winding machines, aluminum and wood processing equipment, as well as tools and consumables from established producers in the sector. Thanks to its high-tech equipment, reliable service, and expert team, “Bultek Engineering” Ltd. is a preferred partner of leading companies in the industry. The company’s operations are associated with significant electricity consumption. This leads to increasing energy costs and dependence on the electricity distribution grid. Within the project, the following activities are planned: Construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV) with inverters; Installation of local energy storage facilities (batteries) also combined with inverters. The implementation of the project will allow: covering a significant share of the company’s own energy needs through the generation of clean energy from renewable sources; more efficient energy management through storage and use of the generated energy during peak hours; reduction of energy costs and the company’s carbon footprint; strengthening the resilience and competitiveness of the company by optimizing operating costs and enhancing its environmental profile. The project is fully in line with the objectives of Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy efficiency and use of renewable energy in enterprises” and with the principle of “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH).
