The project proposal of KIM 2003 OOD is aimed at increasing energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint of the company's activities by implementing renewable energy sources and highly efficient heating and cooling systems (heat pumps). The main activity of the company is wholesale trade in flowers and plants, which requires maintaining a constant microclimate and controlled temperature in the warehouses for storing planting material and live plants. The investment proposal includes the construction of a power plant (PP), including solar panels, inverters, batteries and other components necessary for the operation of the plant, with AC output characteristics of all inverters 30 kW and the capacity of the energy storage system 30 kWh, as well as the supply and installation of three air-to-air heat pump systems with a heat capacity of 2 pcs. × 33 kW and 1 pc. × 13.6 kW, respectively. A heat pump is a device that extracts heat energy from the environment and delivers it at a higher temperature level. In order to increase the temperature at the inlet (heat source), mechanical energy is required. The project will purchase efficient heat pumps that will provide an appropriate temperature with low energy consumption. The heat pumps will be used for heating/cooling the premises. The heat pumps use an electrically driven refrigeration system to transfer the heat to the internal heating/cooling system in the building. The implementation of the project will ensure a significant reduction in energy consumption and electricity costs, improve product storage conditions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The project will lead to increased competitiveness and sustainability of the enterprise by ensuring its own production of energy from a renewable source, independence from fluctuations in energy prices and lower operating costs.
