Founded in 1992, BUILDING-KM Ltd. is a family company and is one of the first private companies engaged in the production of aluminum joinery in Bulgaria. The company has production facilities in Sofia and the village of Krainitsi, Dupnitsa municipality, Kyustendil region. The project proposal includes the thermal insulation of the roof of the production hall located in the village of Krainitsi, PI 39339.507.46. The roof is gable, with an area of 950 sq.m., covered with eternit panels, which, in addition to being in very poor condition and not offering any thermal insulation, pose a potential threat to workers, since asbestos is dangerous when used for roof structures that are subject to erosion. The old and inefficient eternit panels will be replaced with sandwich panels with PUR/PU (polyurethane) thermal insulation, which will ensure that the indicators set out in Regulation RD-02-20-3 of 09.11.2022 for the technical requirements for the energy characteristics of buildings are achieved - thermal conductivity coefficient ≤ 0.022 W/m.K and reaction to fire - class D. The minimum thickness of the thermal insulation system will be ≥60 mm. The sandwich panels with PUR/PU (polyurethane) thermal insulation have exceptional thermal insulation and acoustic properties, making them an integral part of energy efficient measures. Their ability to maintain a constant internal temperature contributes to a comfortable working environment, regardless of external weather conditions. By minimizing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, these panels will contribute to reduced HVAC loads and lower energy bills. This energy efficiency is in line with modern sustainable construction practices and can help projects achieve green building certifications. Support for energy efficient equipment and the use of energy from renewable energy sources will help "BUILD-KM" Ltd. to increase its competitiveness and continue with its investment intentions.
