"Liqui IT" Ltd Gabrovo is a manufacturing plant specializing in the production of wiper fluids and AdBlue - a fuel additive for heavy trucks. The production facility has 10 tanks of 10,000 lt each to provide storage capacity for deionized water and finished product. The technological process requires heating the water to 30–32 °C, since urea dissolves optimally in this temperature range. Therefore, maintaining a constant temperature around the tanks is essential for the quality of the finished solution. The building also has a specialized room of 40 sq.m, equipped with ionizers and distillers, working in a sterile and dust-free environment at a temperature of 10–12 °C. In view of the high energy intensity of the activity, the company plans to implement a project for cladding the exterior façade and part of the roof of the production building of the enterprise in order to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy losses. Through thermal insulation measures, energy consumption to maintain the necessary technological temperatures will be significantly reduced, as well as the operating conditions of sensitive equipment in the sterile room will be optimized. The project falls thematically into national priority sector C20 "Production of chemical products", according to the "National Strategy for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" 2021-2027. The investment will directly serve the energy needs of the production located in the city of Gabrovo. The implementation of the project will lead to: • Reducing energy costs and the carbon footprint of the enterprise; • improving competitiveness through sustainable and cost-effective production; • improving the quality of finished products; • contributing to national energy efficiency and climate neutrality targets.
