The project proposal of Comet Electronics Ltd. is aimed at increasing the energy efficiency and energy independence of the enterprise by implementing a local energy storage facility - a battery in combination with inverters, which will operate in integration with the company's existing photovoltaic power plant, used for its own needs. The investment is intended for the needs of the production activity under EAC-2008: 26.51 "Manufacture of instruments and apparatus for measuring, testing and navigation", carried out at the enterprise's base in Sofia. The implementation of the project will allow for optimal utilization of energy produced from a renewable source, through its accumulation and subsequent use during peak load periods or during power outages. This will lead to more effective management of energy flows, reduced dependence on external suppliers, reduced operating costs and stabilization of production processes. The investment will directly contribute to achieving the objectives of the procedure by improving the energy efficiency of the enterprise, increasing the share of green energy used and supporting the transition to a more sustainable and low-carbon economy. In addition to the environmental effect, the project will increase the technological sustainability and competitiveness of Comet Electronics Ltd., providing a more reliable energy infrastructure for the production of electronic products with high added value. The investment is in full compliance with the principle of "no significant harm" (DNSH) on the environment, meets all applicable environmental standards and contributes to achieving the goals of energy efficiency and sustainable growth at national and European level. By implementing this project, the enterprise will increase its resource efficiency, improve the sustainability of its production and adapt to modern requirements for a low-carbon and energy-efficient economy.
