The project of UNISED Ltd. foresees the implementation of measures to improve energy efficiency and the use of en. from renewable sources at the company’s facility, where the main activity according to NACE 31.01 “Manufacture of office and shop furniture” is carried out.The company specializes in the design, production, delivery, and installation of seating furniture and office chairs, and operates its own production and storage facilities, as well as administrative premises.In order to enhance the company’s en. efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness, the project proposal includes the following investment measures:Construction of a photovoltaic power plant, which will provide part of the el. required for own consumption, reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and energy costs;Improvement of the building’s thermal insulation characteristics through the installation of sandwich panel insulation systems for external walls and floors exposed to outside air;Replacement of windows and doors with new energy-efficient transparent enclosing structures — 28aluminum windows without sashes, 5 windows with sashes, 1 sectional external door (450/350h cm), and 2external doors (100/200h cm).The implementation of the project will lead to a reduction in el. costs, an increase in the share of self-produced green energy, an improvement in the en. efficiency of the company’s building stock, a reduction in the carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions, and an enhancement of the company’s sustainability and competitiveness.The investment is fully compliant with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle regarding the environment and contributes to achieving the objectives of national and European energy transition and decarbonization policies.Through the implementation of the project, UNISED Ltd. will achieve higher en. efficiency, reduce its operational costs, and strengthen its position as a sustainable and responsible manufacturer in the furniture industry.
