The project of PULSIO AD envisages the implementation of measures to improve energy efficiency in an existing facility of the company in Sofia, where the main activity under NACE 18.12 – Printing of other products – is carried out. As an established enterprise in the printing sector, the company aims to enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of its operations by reducing energy dependence and optimizing energy consumption. Within the framework of the project, an investment is planned in the following group of assets included in the list of eligible activities under the procedure: A chiller for cooling and optimization of production processes; Insulation systems for the building where production activities take place. The investment is in line with the “Do No Significant Harm” (DNSH) principle regarding the environment and will contribute to the climate resilience of the enterprise. The selected technologies comply with modern environmental standards and have a low carbon footprint. The expected results of the project implementation include a substantial reduction in energy costs, improvement of thermal comfort and energy efficiency of the production building, reduction of carbon emissions, as well as strengthening the resilience of operations. In addition, the project will contribute to achieving national and European goals for decarbonization and green transition, as well as for lowering the energy intensity of the economy at enterprise level. The project proposal is consistent with the horizontal principles under Article 9 of Regulation (EU) No. 2021/1060, as well as with the “Do No Significant Harm” principle.
