Titus Group Ltd. operates under NACE-2008 code 31.09 – Manufacture of other furniture, with its headquarters and production base in Ruse. The company is an established manufacturer of furniture for both domestic and international markets, utilizing modern machinery and pneumatic tools, where compressed air plays a key role in daily operations. In the furniture industry, energy consumption for compressor systems represents up to 25–30% of total usage. Inefficient systems lead to high electricity costs, unstable pressure, moisture and condensate in the compressed air network. This negatively affects product quality, increases energy intensity, and generates risks of technological defects. The project foresees investment in compressed air compressors with inverter control (30 kW), 2000-liter air receivers, and compressed air dryers (30 kW). The inverter control will provide up to 35% energy savings by adjusting the power to actual demand. The receivers will stabilize pressure and extend equipment life, while the dryers will ensure clean and dry air, essential for high-quality painting and finishing operations. Expected effects: • Economic: estimated reduction of electricity costs by approx. BGN 10,000 – 12,500 annually and optimized maintenance. • Energy: savings of around 40,000 – 50,000 kWh per year. • Environmental: CO₂ emissions reduced by approx. 25 tons annually. • Social: improved working conditions and higher product quality. The investment is sustainable in financial, technical, environmental, and social terms, and is fully aligned with the objectives of procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 – “Energy Efficiency and Use of Renewable Energy in Enterprises”: reducing energy intensity, improving energy efficiency, lowering emissions, and strengthening the competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises.
