The project "Energy efficiency and RES for a hotel in the village of Buinovo" aims to increase the energy independence, sustainability and competitiveness of the family hotel, owned by "LUKO 2011" EOOD, by replacing the outdated wood heating with a highly efficient heat pump system. The hotel is located in the village of Buynovo, Borino municipality, and is a small family accommodation facility with year-round activity. Currently, heating is provided by a boiler and wood-burning stoves, which requires constant human labor, generates high operating costs, emissions of dust particles and carbon dioxide, as well as the risk of uneven heating of the premises. The system is non-automated, uneconomical and does not contribute to achieving environmental standards and EU policies to reduce dependence on fossil and solid fuels. Within the framework of the project, delivery and installation of a highly efficient air-to-water heat pump with a heat output of 35 kW is provided, providing centralized and automated heating and cooling, used entirely for the hotel's needs. The investment will lead to: - reduction of heating with solid fuels and related emissions; - reduction of energy costs; - creation of a comfortable and safe work and rest environment for staff and guests; - application of ecological technologies corresponding to the principle of "energy efficiency first". The project is fully in line with the objectives of the Program "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027 and procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004 aimed at energy efficiency and RES in SMEs.
