"NET - SURF.NET" Ltd. is a company with more than twenty years of experience in providing Internet and telecommunication services, operating its own optical transmission network. The applicant's main economic activity under NACE is 61.10 - Telecommunications via fixed networks, which also falls within the national priority sectors identified in the National SME Strategy 2021-2027. The company's core services include Internet access, IPTV, cloud hosting, PVR services, mobile television, and others. Due to the uninterrupted nature of these services and the need for redundancy and cooling, the applicant's telecommunication activity is inherently energy-intensive. The project foresees an investment in an integrated photovoltaic (PV) system consisting of 34.3 kWp solar panels, a 25 kW (AC) hybrid inverter, and an energy storage system with a capacity exceeding the AC power of the PV array. The system is configured to operate solely for self-consumption. Additionally, the project includes a separate local storage module with 60 kWh (DC) capacity and a dedicated inverter for peak-shaving and time-shift operations. The system incorporates full monitoring, protection, and grounding functions and is dimensioned according to the site's load profile. Based on a simulation, the expected annual usable generation is approximately 40,038 kWh. Daily surpluses will be stored and shifted to hours with higher consumption and/or electricity prices, further reducing grid purchases. The estimated environmental benefit amounts to approximately 18.82 t of CO2 savings per year. The expected results include a significant reduction of electricity purchased from the grid, optimization of the facility's load profile, and increased reliability of power supply. The planned activities and assets fully comply with the Guidelines of the procedure and technical requirements, while the project is structured to achieve an optimal balance between energy efficiency and economic performance.
